Campus Character & Community Engagement Coordinator Campus Character & Community Engagement Coordinator Department/Campus Campus Reports to Campus Principal FLSA Status Exempt Pay Grade Teacher Pay Grade Job Type Full-Time Work Hours 193 Days / Normal Work hours Job Roles To fulfill SST Schools' mission and goals through two integrated areas of responsibility: (1) coordinating and supporting the campus-level implementation of SST's Character Education Initiative, including the Kern Family Foundation–funded character education priorities; and (2) supporting family and community engagement efforts through the FACE Department by fostering meaningful partnerships among students, families, staff, and community stakeholders to strengthen student success and school culture. This position reports administratively to the Campus Dean of Students and serves as the campus implementation coordinator for character education. Working under the direction of the Campus Dean of Students and in close collaboration with the District Character Education Coordinator, the position supports campus implementation, facilitates implementation and coordination across assigned feeder campuses, and assists the Dean of Students in fulfilling the campus's character education responsibilities and advancing SST's Character Formation Roadmap 2026–2029. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Successful teaching and/or school leadership experience preferred Prior experience in character education, student leadership, school culture, or related initiatives preferred Knowledge And Skills Belief in and commitment to the mission and core values of SST Schools. Demonstrated leadership with the ability to lead people and get results through work with others. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with a willingness to be flexible when needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong prioritization, organization, and follow-up skills. Ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively with students, staff, families, and community partners Ability to facilitate professional learning, campus initiatives, and student engagement activities Excellent interpersonal skills. Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and energy. Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback. Face Programs Responsibilities (0.5 Fte) Promote the creation and development of new clubs and help identify potential club advisors among existing campus personnel; provide resources/training opportunities for club advisors. Support student club advisors for fundraising opportunities and supervise requests for club projects and fundraisers. Support all stakeholders in identifying, developing, and maintaining mentoring programs. Organize, support, and coordinate engagement activities and events for students, parents, and staff. Create programs to help students to and through high school and college. Collaborate with all stakeholders (admins, staff, students, parents, parent volunteer committee, community leaders, higher education institutions, etc.) to fulfill the school mission and goals. Analyze and evaluate ongoing FACE programs, providing data to the administration and central office executives. Meet with the principal and Director of Programs regularly to report and discuss concerns. Collaborate with the Regional FACE Coordinator on middle-high school transition, internships, certificate programs, scholarships, and senior-alumni transition. Organize expedition/exploration programs such as college trips, in/out-of-state trips, camps, and Festival of Language and Culture. Oversee the Before/After School Care Program. Character Education Responsibilities (0.5 Fte) Coordinate and support the campus-level implementation of SST's Character Education Initiative under the direction of the Campus Dean of Students and in collaboration with the District Character Education Coordinator. Lead the development, implementation, and annual review of the Campus Character Action Plan for the assigned high school while providing leadership, coaching, and implementation support to assigned feeder campuses to ensure consistent alignment with Character.org's 11 Principles, the Jubilee Centre Framework, and district priorities Coordinate campus implementation of districtwide character education initiatives, including Texas Character Education Week, STARS in the Character Sky, the Color the World with Character Traits Poster Drive, C-STREAM Summer Camps, and other district-approved initiatives. Provide implementation support, coordination, and collaboration across assigned feeder campuses to promote aligned character education practices and continuity of student character development. Support teachers in integrating character education strategies, storytelling-based resources, and character development activities into classroom instruction and campus programs. Collect, maintain, and submit implementation evidence, survey results, and required campus reports to the District Character Education Coordinator Lead and coordinate the campus's National School of Character designation process and the development and submission of Promising Practices. Serve as the primary campus coordinator for these initiatives while collaborating with the Campus Dean of Students and the District Character Education Coordinator, and provide implementation support to assigned feeder campuses pursuing the same recognitions Participate in district-provided professional learning, implementation meetings, coaching sessions, and the Developing Educators Certification Program. Meet regularly with the District Character Education Coordinator and the Campus Dean of Students to review implementation progress, identify needs, and support continuous improvement efforts Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and a strong commitment to supporting the successful implementation of the SST Character Formation Roadmap 2026–2029 by enthusiastically embracing new responsibilities, district priorities, and implementation initiatives as they emerge Work Environment And Physical Requirements Light Work: may require occasional light lifting. Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required. Position is in an office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
