Embedded Linux Engineer Role

Mission Context: Viveris supports its clients in the design and development of critical embedded systems with high technological constraints, particularly in the space sector. In this context, we are looking for an Embedded Linux Engineer to work on Xilinx Versal platforms. You will participate in the porting, integration, and hardening of an embedded Linux on specific hardware (non COTS), in an environment with high safety and reliability requirements. Integrated into a software team, you will work closely with hardware and system architecture teams. Responsibilities: Port and integrate an embedded Linux on Xilinx Versal platforms; Configure and maintain Yocto/Buildroot environments; Adapt the kernel, drivers, and device tree to the target hardware; Participate in the hardening and optimization of the system (security, performance, memory footprint); Collaborate with HW/FPGA teams for system integration; Contribute to validation, qualification, and technical documentation phases.

Required Profile

Required Profile: Graduated from a higher education in computer science, electronics, or embedded systems, you have significant experience (minimum 5 years) in embedded Linux on constrained systems. Technical skills: Embedded Linux (kernel, drivers, bootloader); Yocto (highly appreciated) or Buildroot; Experience on SoC/FPGA, ideally Xilinx (Versal, Zynq); Good understanding of HW/SW interactions; Critical or real-time embedded environments appreciated; Securing and hardening Linux; FreeRTOS or other real-time OS. Experience in space, defense, or critical industrial sectors would be a plus. Technical English.
