Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot and repair automated manufacturing equipment and electro-mechanical systems. Your role includes performing reactive maintenance to quickly restore production equipment, diagnosing and repairing electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, and maintaining Fanuc robotics and automated work cells. You will also support vision systems, conveyors, injection molding equipment, extrusion lines, and secondary automation equipment, while adhering to all safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and electro-mechanical systems.
• Perform heavy reactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot ABB and Siemens PLCs with minimal programming requirements.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Fanuc robotics and automated work cells.
• Support vision systems, conveyors, injection molding equipment, extrusion lines, and secondary automation equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plant systems and production equipment.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and new equipment installations.
• Maintain all safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

• Electrical troubleshooting and maintenance repair.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and pneumatics.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and schematic reading.
• Industrial electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Expertise in PLC control and 3-phase systems.
• Experience with motors, conveyors, and electrical maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics (ABB & Siemens).
• Minimal PLC programming and debugging.
• Fanuc robotics troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Knowledge of 440V three-phase electrical systems.
• AC/DC drives and motor controls.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
• Preventive and reactive maintenance experience.
• Manufacturing automation and controls experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, or related field preferred.
• 1-3+ years of industrial maintenance or manufacturing experience.
• Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment in a production environment.

Work Environment

Our manufacturing plant is well-lit, clean, and air-conditioned. The position involves working around machinery with moving parts typical of a manufacturing environment, and may occasionally involve exposure to fumes. Earplugs and safety glasses are required as personal protective equipment (PPE), with additional PPE assigned as needed. Shift schedules include 1st shift from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Spartanburg, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $83200.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
