Job Description: Miller Electric is excited to invite applications for the position of Welder in our Components Division. We are searching for a motivated individual passionate about both manual and robotic welding. The ideal candidate will be able to obtain a welding certification and is eager to work on intricate multi‑process welds. We value a safety‑first mindset, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit, as teamwork and cross‑training within various areas of the Components Division are essential to this role. Essential Functions: Operate and maintain both manual and robotic welding equipment, including setup, programming, and thorough inspection. Conduct manual welding for smaller or complex assemblies, adhering to blueprints for precision layout and assembly. Inspect welded components for dimensional accuracy with appropriate measurement tools. Utilize pneumatic hand tools for grinding, buffing, and finishing weld surfaces to a high standard. Cross‑train and rotate duties with fellow welders to ensure operational coverage during absences. Interpret blueprints and effectively use measurement tools. Commit to a safety‑first mentality and comply with all company safety protocols diligently. Adopt a zero‑defect mindset, ensuring commitment to quality workmanship. Be flexible and willing to assist in other areas of the business unit as needed, including painting and running gear tasks. Perform any additional work duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. 1–2 years of welding experience is preferred. Must pass welding certification for manual and robotic operations prior to commencing production duties (within 90 days). Qualified in the following weld procedures: 159074‑Short Circuit, 257933‑Aluminum, 257943‑Steel Rotors, 274886‑Aluminum, 226006‑Pulse. Strong ability to read blueprints and weld symbols, proficient in measurement and inspection tools, and capable of performing programming and setups independently. Effective communication skills. Quality‑focused with a commitment to meeting customer needs and ensuring on‑time delivery. Team‑oriented, self‑motivated, and safety conscious. Basic computer skills are necessary. Must be able to stand for a shift of 8 to 12 hours and lift weights up to 50 pounds. Overtime may be required.
