Staff Accountant

Randstad has partnered with a premier, established commercial real estate development and management firm in Las Vegas to identify a proactive, analytical Staff Accountant on a temp-to-hire basis.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses real estate accounting experience. You will play a central role in managing entity-level financials, loan draw administration, lien releases, and day-to-day cash disbursements.

Responsibilities

• Financial Statement Preparation: Assist with full-cycle month-end and year-end close; prepare accurate balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounts to produce comprehensive financial statements.
• Loan Draws & Construction/Development Accounting: Compile, review, and assemble monthly loan draw requests; track funding packages and liaise with lenders and title companies.
• Lien Release Management: Obtain, verify, and track conditional and unconditional lien waivers from general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain compliance.
• Cash Disbursements & Banking: Manage payment runs, verify invoice approvals, cut weekly accounts payable checks, and ensure accurate coding across entity ledgers.
• Software & Spreadsheet Analysis: Leverage Yardi to maintain lease, property, and GL data; build and manipulate custom MS Excel schedules to analyze budget variances and cost tracking.
• Process & Problem Solving: Serve as a self-starter who proactively identifies ledger discrepancies, researches complex invoicing issues, and recommends workflow efficiencies.
