Responsibilities:Provide technical support to the actuarial management group in support of group and health insurance clientsPerform the calculation of group and health insurance reserves, risk adjustment factors, and actuarial values for a given plan designAssist with project planning, development of deliverables, and other technical writing exercisesDevelop and project actuarial models using actuarial softwareProgram and manipulate database applications used in support of experience studies and other data management functionsSupervise and serve as a mentor to associate, new hires, and interns on engagementsAct as a liaison between clients and upper managementIdentify and communicate technical matters to both clients and upper managementQualifications:Minimum three years of recent actuarial work experience in a professional services environment working with an actuarial software package; minimum one year of experience with U.S. GAAP and statutory financial reportingBachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance, and mathematicsPassed two actuarial examsAbility to work on multiple projects and prioritize work without intensive direction from supervisorsStrong understanding of group and health insurance products; excellent working knowledge of spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel and data analytic software such as RMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
