The Connecticut-based healthcare provider is seeking a Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse for their oncology unit. This role involves delivering care to patients with hematology and oncology diagnoses, including administering chemotherapy, managing side effects, and providing supportive treatments. The position offers straight night shifts and is suitable for candidates with at least two years of experience in medical-surgical or oncology settings.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of two years of relevant experience, experience with chemotherapy administration, post-surgical lines/tubes/drains, Trachs/Laryngectomies, telemetry, complex wounds, central line care, and blood draws
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chest tubes, drip management (e.g., Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone), surgical drains, and complex wound care; familiarity with on-call responsibilities
• Schedule: Straight night shifts with a minimum of 48 hours per week
• Additional Information: The position involves caring for patients with diagnoses such as lymphoma, leukemia, and ovarian cancers, including managing their radiation therapy and radioisotope treatments. The assignment begins on 08/17/2026, with potential start on 08/31/2026, focusing on 48-hour shifts initially, shifting to 36-hour shifts after 09/14.
