Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting near Naperville, IL. Work with a dedicated team committed to helping students thrive, while enjoying the flexibility to tailor your schedule to your needs.
This assignment runs through late May 2026, offering an excellent blend of stability and professional growth. With both full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week) and part-time options available, it’s easy to find a schedule that complements your life. The student caseload for a full-time position averages 30 at the start and can reach up to 60, providing a manageable, supportive work environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Current Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) — verification required
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with high school students
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for students with speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document progress and maintain compliance with all state and district requirements
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student learning outcomes
- Maintain regular communication with families and school staff
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and district initiatives
