Job Description
Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a dynamic and state-of-the-art environment dedicated to providing specialized patient care for adults undergoing interventional radiology procedures. This includes procedures such as biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiographies, and drain placements, as well as other image-guided interventions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures.
• Monitor patients during procedures and provide post-procedure recovery care, including in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and extended stay (23-hour) settings.
• Participate as a critical member of the embolization response team for trauma patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.
• Utilize critical thinking and strong communication skills to enhance patient outcomes in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• A minimum of one year of recent experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) is necessary.

Please note that hospital-issued and laundered scrub pants and tops are required in addition to other infection prevention measures when needed in procedural areas.
