Overview R10082447 Human Resources Manager (Open) Location: Naugatuck, CT (Plant - Filling) - Filling industrial; Billerica, MA - Filling industrial; Cheshire, CT (Plant) - Filling industrial; Waterford, CT (Regional Office) - Management - Northeast Region Airgas is Hiring for a Human Resources Manager in Naugatuck, CT. The HR Manager is responsible for partnering with regional leadership teams and providing Human Resource leadership and execution in talent acquisition, compensation, benefits administration, employee relations, labor relations, training, talent management, organizational development, HR compliance and special projects. The HR Manager coordinates activities with HR specialists in Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Employee Relations, Labor, Benefits, Talent Management, Payroll and HRIS and leads change initiatives across the business related to talent and HR strategy. We are looking for you! Responsibilities Travel to sites as needed Hybrid work schedule Lead and execute HR initiatives across client groups including organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee relations, performance and development coaching Lead associate onboarding, ensure effective execution by managers; collaborate with hiring managers and Talent Management to integrate and retain associates Partner with leaders to manage immersion process for new sales and operations associates to enable early contributions Coordinate with Payroll and HR Coordinators for accurate processing of new hires, terminations and changes Administer salary actions under Division Compensation guidance; lead annual salary review; coordinate with HR Compensation group for consistency and market feedback Develop and facilitate performance calibration with regional management to ensure consistent performance management systems Advise managers on performance management, training and development, and progressive discipline; conduct stay and exit interviews; perform investigations as needed Advise on documentation in line with policies; involve Legal or senior HR leadership as appropriate; lead performance appraisal process Administer HR policies and programs; recommend revisions; ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, FMLA, OSHA, EEO and ADA Contribute to development and implementation of HR strategy; act as change agent to improve workforce and HR process effectiveness Qualifications Required: A Bachelor's degree in Business, HR or related field Required: A minimum of 5 years of related HR experience, preferably in a production and/or distribution environment Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Understanding of HR principles and practices, employment laws and regulations, and ability to lead ER investigations Personable, professional, responsive, knowledgeable, credible, trusted, and able to drive value Understanding of HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday) Excellent organizational, written and oral communication, listening and presentation skills Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Preferred: Organized labor experience Preferred: HR certification such as PHR or SPHR Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life and AD&D insurance, EAP, pre-tax commuter benefit, parental leave, vacation, sick time, floating holidays, jury duty and bereavement leave, paid holidays, 401k with company match, tuition reimbursement, discounted college tuition for eligible dependents, and Airgas Scholarship Program for dependent children.
