Senior Accountant

Job Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional to take on a broad range of general accounting responsibilities in a hybrid role based in Westlake, OH. Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate/resolve variances
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives
- Support internal and external audit requests, including preparation of documentation and schedules
- Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial integrity
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for process improvements
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting team members
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
- Strong Excel skills, including experience with formulas, pivot tables, and financial models
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently within a hybrid work schedule
- CPA or active pursuit of CPA licensure preferred
