Field Tech II

Overview We are seeking a motivated IT Field Service Technician to provide on-site technical support for a national home improvement retail client. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong customer service skills, technical troubleshooting experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment. Key Responsibilities Provide onsite support for IT equipment including POS systems, desktops, laptops, printers, thin clients, access points, servers, and network switches Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues within defined service levels Travel daily within a 25-100+ mile radius to service client locations Document all work performed, including issues, resolutions, and ticket updates Manage triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users Support cabling work including copper and fiber (terminations preferred) Ensure timely completion of service calls and maintain high customer satisfaction Occasionally work at heights (20-25 feet); training provided Understand basic AC/DC and backup power concept Qualifications Minimum 1 year of IT technical support experience CompTIA A+ certification (required) CompTIA Network+ (preferred)Experience with Windows, macOS, and/or Linux systems Familiarity with networking and hardware troubleshooting Strong time management and documentation skills Valid driver's license required Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Core Competencies Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability Self-motivated and able to work independently CompuCom is committed to providing equal employment opportunities in all employment practices.
