You'll play an important role in helping patients achieve their goals and return to the activities they enjoy most.Your responsibilities will include:Deliver evidence-based treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical TherapistGuide patients through therapeutic exercise programs and hands-on interventions to improve function, mobility, and strengthEducate patients on injury prevention, recovery strategies, home exercise programs, and long-term wellnessMonitor patient progress and communicate updates with the supervising Physical TherapistCollaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient careMaintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulationsContinue developing your clinical skills while staying current with evidence-based orthopedic and sports rehabilitation practicesQualificationsAssociate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (or equivalent)Active Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant licenseOutpatient orthopedic or sports medicine experience preferredNew graduates with a passion for orthopedic rehabilitation are encouraged to applyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA positive, patient-centered approach to careAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamAdditional InformationWhether you're an experienced PTA or just beginning your career, University Physical Therapy offers the mentorship, support, and clinical environment to help you thrive.
