Field Service Technician

About the Role As a Field Services Technician, you will perform in-store and mobile sales, service, and repair of products. Your positive and professional attitude contributes to our winning culture and ensures a lasting impression on customers. Key Responsibilities Source and order parts for customers. Diagnose and repair small engines and equipment. Maintain current knowledge of Northern Tool + Equipment's national and private label brands. Complete all required reports and forms related to work assignments. Qualifications 3+ years of experience repairing and maintaining small engines (2-year certification preferred). Ability to clearly explain diagnosis and repair to customers. Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, including 110- and 220-volt electrical systems. Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness. Ability to travel locally and regionally up to 50% of the time, with occasional overnight stays. Ability to recognize and observe all safety and security procedures. Respectful, collaborative attitude that supports positive team spirit. Integrity, upholding company values while operating a profitable service business. Valid state driver's license and qualification to operate a mobile service vehicle. Strong organizational skills and fluency with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of small engine theory (2- and 4-stroke): lubrication, cooling, ignition, fuel systems. Extensive experience with electrical systems, plunger driven or axial pressure washer pumps and unloader systems, hydraulic theory, and diagnostic equipment.
