Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team. The MLT will work predominantly on the graveyard shift, ensuring efficient laboratory operations and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests in various areas including Hematology, Serology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Microbiology, and Blood Bank.
• Maintain proficiency in all laboratory areas, with a focus on blood bank procedures.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability in laboratory test results and documentation.
• Manage and perform quality control procedures as per established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to enhance patient care and laboratory efficiency.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through ASCP or AMT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience working independently on the graveyard shift.
• Ability to perform effectively in a high-volume laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), specifically Epic.

Work Schedule

The position involves working on the graveyard shift, with specific scheduling determined by operational needs. Weekend and holiday availability is mandatory.

Dress Code

There is no formal dress code; scrubs or business casual attire with closed-toed shoes are acceptable.

Orientation and Training

Successful applicants must be available for a week of orientation and training within the state, even if first-day modules are conducted remotely.

Location

This role is open to candidates within a 60 miles radius of the operating location. Multiple locations within the region may be available.
