In this role, you will be accountable to meet departmental production targets by leading a high-performing team with a strong focus on **safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement**. You will supervise production operators, manage scheduling and workflow, and foster an environment where teamwork, innovation, and accountability thrive.This position partners closely with engineering and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication and seamless operations across all production shifts.**What You’ll Do*** **Champion Safety:** Promote and model safe work practices. Partner with EHS to deliver safety training and reinforce a strong safety culture. Monitor the work area for adherence to procedures, restrictions, cleanliness, and potential hazards.* **Lead & Develop Your Team:** Ensure employees receive effective training and ongoing support. Address performance issues with proper documentation and manage performance reviews and corrective actions in a timely and consistent manner.* **Drive Operational Excellence:** Provide clear communication regarding goals, expectations, and daily priorities. Collaborate with fellow supervisors, engineering, and management to keep operations aligned and efficient.* **Ensure Quality Outputs:** Oversee production to ensure output meets quality standards. Support investigations of quality defects, develop and recommend corrective actions, and contribute to document updates and scrap reduction initiatives.* **Promote Lean & Continuous Improvement:** Utilize Lean/Six Sigma concepts such as SPC, Kanban, and 6S to streamline operations. Apply PDCA and visual management to optimize resource planning, schedule attainment, and daily improvements.* **Monitor Production Performance:** Track hour by hour production results and escalate issues promptly.
