Randstad is recruiting a skilled Maintenance Mechanic for a premier manufacturing facility on Jacksonville's Southside. Get the stability of a Monday-Friday daytime schedule and keep your weekends yours (unless duty calls!).

Your Typical Day Will Include:

• Keeping things moving: Performing crucial preventive maintenance on high-speed machinery.
• Quick pivoting: Managing daily equipment changeovers to keep production on track.
• Hands-on creation: Fabricating, modifying, and rebuilding parts on the fly.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of dual-threat experience (Electrical + Mechanical).
• Skills: EXPERIENCED troubleshooting mind, ability to read schematics, and a knack for precision rebuilding.
• Drive: A reliable work ethic and a commitment to safety.

salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Perform daily machine change overs, as required by production.
• Fabricate, modify, build and re-build machinery and equipment parts and molds to ensure proper and efficient operation.
• Operate small equipment (forklifts and man lifts).
• Inventory assistnace.
• Work with Engineering on machinery and equipment issues.
• Perform and document machine and equipment Preventive Maintenance.
• Perform electrical, plumbing and facility maintenance, as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment.
• Interpret schematics and equipment manuals.
• Repairing building structures which may include minor construction projects.
• Determine functionality of parts by inspection using test equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, mechanical and pneumatic components and systems.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
