Compensation Specialist

Kforce has a client in Alexandria, VA that is seeking a Compensation Specialist is responsible for administering and analyzing compensation programs to ensure competitive, equitable, and compliant pay practices. This role supports salary benchmarking, job evaluations, pay recommendations, compensation planning, and reporting while partnering with HR, Finance, and business leaders. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct market pricing and salary benchmarking using compensation surveys and market data
Evaluate positions and provide compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, and internal transfers
Support annual merit increase, bonus, and compensation planning processes
Maintain salary structures, pay grades, and compensation policies
Analyze compensation data and prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local compensation regulations
Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners on offer development and compensation decisions
Maintain compensation data integrity within the HRIS
Assist with compensation audits, pay equity reviews, and special projects
Bachelor's degree
3+ years experience in HR, payroll or finance
Compensation must have been a part of their recent roles
Excel - Vlookups, concatenate, Match, Find functions
