Schmidt Associates is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead project grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility design efforts across a variety of project types. This role will serve as a technical leader and mentor within the civil engineering team, coordinating multidisciplinary projects while ensuring design excellence, quality standards, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver with strong technical expertise, project leadership experience, and a passion for mentoring emerging professionals. Lead civil engineering design for site development projects including grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, and erosion control. * Coordinate civil engineering efforts with architects, landscape architects, MEPTC engineers, and external consultants. * Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards, budgets, and deadlines. * Prepare and oversee construction documents, technical specifications, calculations, reports, permitting submissions, and cost estimates. * Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project planning discussions. * Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction administration. * Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and permitting requirements. * Support continuous improvement of office standards, procedures, and best practices. * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required. * 8+ years of related civil engineering experience preferred. * Strong experience with site development, grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater design. * Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required; Revit experience is a plus. * Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills. * At Schmidt Associates, we believe design has the power to strengthen communities and improve lives.
