About the Position

Job Title

ICU Registered Nurse – Level 3 (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend and holidays as needed | Minimum 34.5 hours guaranteed per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 ICU setting, including management of trauma patients of varying severities
• Manage patients with EVD, multiple medication drips, and use of Hemosphere FloTrac monitoring
• Perform patient assessments utilizing CAM, CPOT, and RASS scoring tools
• Provide care for patients undergoing hypothermia treatment and manage pleurevac chest tube drainage
• Float to the SICU and IMCU as required
• Adhere to strict isolation precautions, hand hygiene protocols, and critical care standard operating procedures

Required Qualifications

• BSN or higher degree from an accredited nursing school
• Active RN license to practice in New York State or by reciprocity
• Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience
• Required certifications prior to start: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and De-Escalation Certification
• Proficiency with Allscripts EMR and PCA pump
• Royal Blue Scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• Experience with trauma patient management across varying acuity levels
