Speech Therapist (ST)

Overview The Speech Therapist (ST) is a professional member of our healthcare team who delivers skilled Speech Therapy services to clients. Working in compliance with professional standards and agency policies, the ST plays a key role in enhancing patients' quality of life. Responsibilities Evaluate clients’ speech, language, and hearing abilities, recommending strategies to enhance communication and hearing. Develop and revise treatment plans in consultation with physicians as necessary. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members on care plans and provide speech pathology training to team members as needed. Educate clients and families on speech therapy techniques and related challenges. Document all evaluation data, treatments, and client progress promptly. Communicate regularly with physicians, ensuring orders are appropriate and addressing any changes in client condition. Participate in the periodic revision of care plans, updating the physician on client status and obtaining additional orders as required. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program. Licensed Speech Therapist in Florida. Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Speech Therapist. Current BLS Certification. Strong emotional resilience and physical stamina, including the ability to stand, stoop, and bend frequently. Excellent judgment, communication, and observational skills.
