About the Facility Phoenix VAMC, The Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center Department of Veterans Affairs offers healthcare services to eligible military veterans at VA medical centers and outpatient clinics across the country. Responsibilities

• The LPN delivers care to patients with diverse injuries and illnesses specific to the specialty clinic.
• Perform comprehensive professional nursing duties, including assessment, treatment, and patient education by the direction of the registered nurse.
• Ensure timely follow-up for lab tests, imaging results, and specialty appointments.
• Shall provide counseling and education to patients and families, promoting self-care and improved health outcomes.
• Assist with clinic-specific procedures, including minor surgeries, wound care, orthopedic procedures, etc.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Requirements

• A current license as a practical nurse/vocational nurse in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth in the US or the District of Columbia.
• A minimum of one year of direct patient care experience in specialty care.
• Must have Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
