ASCP Radiology Assistant - Weekend Shift
Deliver exceptional healthcare by supporting radiologic technologists in producing high-quality diagnostic images. This role involves assisting with radiographic procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a safe and efficient imaging environment.
- Assist radiologic technologists during diagnostic imaging procedures, verifying patient clinical history aligns with the procedure and ensuring documentation is accurate for licensed practitioners.
- Prepare patients by providing clear instructions to achieve optimal imaging results, fostering cooperation, and reducing anxiety.
- Apply aseptic techniques when necessary and initiate basic life support if required.
- Maintain assigned work areas, report equipment issues promptly, and ensure cleanliness and supply restocking.
- Engage actively in departmental quality assessment and improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to established minimum standards and use sound judgment and medical skills to care for patients of varying ages and conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Basic computer skills are preferred.
First shift, scheduled every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM).
This position is located in a regional healthcare facility serving the Midwest area of the United States.
