Job Description

The Machine Maintenance Supervisor oversees a multi-skilled maintenance team that supports CNC machining centers, robotics, automated production systems, and facility infrastructure. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys combining hands-on technical work with planning, team development, and continuous improvement. The supervisor monitors equipment performance, drives reliability initiatives, and ensures maintenance processes are executed accurately within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead a multi-skilled maintenance team that supports CNC machining, robotics, automated production systems, and facility infrastructure.
• Monitor equipment performance on the manufacturing floor and identify opportunities to improve uptime, efficiency, and overall reliability.
• Partner closely with operations and engineering teams to reduce recurring equipment issues and drive sustainable corrective actions.
• Review downtime trends and implement strategies to improve asset reliability and reduce unplanned outages.
• Ensure all preventive maintenance tasks are completed on time and documented accurately within the CMMS system.
• Maintain high-quality maintenance documentation, including work orders, equipment histories, and reliability data in the CMMS.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance processes, equipment performance, and production reliability.
• Promote a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment for the maintenance team and production operations.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in CNC maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing CNC machining centers.
• Hands-on expertise in machine repair and CNC repair within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience in maintenance management and maintenance supervision, leading technical teams.
• Experience using CMMS platforms such as Maximo to manage work orders, preventive maintenance, and equipment history.
• Strong understanding of industrial hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and associated maintenance practices.
• Working knowledge of robotics and automation systems, including support and troubleshooting.
• Experience with HVAC and facility support equipment in an industrial setting.
• Familiarity with central coolant systems and process support equipment used in machining and automated production.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other reliability improvement initiatives.
• Experience contributing to continuous improvement projects focused on equipment reliability and uptime.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with operations and engineering teams to solve complex equipment issues.
• Strong organizational skills to manage maintenance schedules, documentation, and team priorities.
• Ability to work a 2nd shift schedule from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Work Environment

The role is based on a clean, organized, and safety-focused manufacturing floor that utilizes advanced automation, CNC machining centers, robotics, and a variety of industrial support systems. You will work with technologies such as CMMS platforms, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, HVAC and facility support equipment, and central coolant and process support systems. The position follows a 2nd shift schedule from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, supporting ongoing production operations in a structured and well-maintained facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsboro, IN.

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Pittsboro,IN.
