Shift: 12-hour Day Shift with Night Call Responsibilities

Hours/Week: Approx. 36 hours/week

Employment Type: Travel/Locum

License/Certs: Active state medical license, BLS, ACLS, (PALS optional)

Experience: 2+ years in internal medicine, cardiology, or critical care settings

Background: Clean background, willing to provide temporary privileges for start prior to September

What You'll Do

• Provide specialized internal medicine care for pre-transplant, LVAD, and post-transplant patients with high medical acuity
• Work alongside a team of five Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and other healthcare professionals
• Manage physician-to-physician patient transfers, including remote admissions during night call
• Handle high-acuity cases involving complex cardiac patients
• Support the cardiac transplant and advanced heart failure team with patient management, documentation, and transfer coordination
• Contribute to a patient-centered, multidisciplinary care environment

What You Need

Required:

• Valid medical license in the state of Louisiana
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years' experience in internal or cardiology-specific practice
• Comfort with remote admissions and high-acuity patient care

Preferred:

• Experience with transplant or LVAD patient populations
• Ability to start prior to September with temporary privileges
