About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Lending to provide strategic leadership and oversight of its lending operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive lending strategy that is in line with the organization's goals and member needs. This executive will lead consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending, and will be tasked with team development, portfolio performance, technology and process improvement, regulatory compliance, and overall growth. Key responsibilities include establishing department goals, overseeing lending operations, mentoring lending leaders, and leading initiatives to enhance the member experience. Applicants for the Vice President of Lending position at the company should have 7-10 years' progressive lending and leadership experience, with a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field. The role requires a strong background in residential real estate lending, including first and second mortgages, and a proven track record with the secondary market. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of lending, collection, bankruptcy, lien, and loan documentation regulations, as well as experience in managing budgets and lending operations. Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills are essential, along with excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. The role also demands excellent communication skills and the ability to make sound lending and business decisions based on financial analysis.
