To comply with all federal guidelines (Head Start Performance Standards, Transmittal Notices, etc.) and local Head Start policies in providing children and families with Head Start services. Qualifications Education/Certification Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, or related field required Master's Degree preferred Skills Experience in working with economically disadvantaged families preferred Requires individual who is disciplined and objective with the ability to positively stimulate and develop teams toward a focused goal of providing quality service to children and families in the Head Start program Working Conditions: Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals Posture: Must be physically able to tolerate prolonged sitting, frequent standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting, and standing Motion: Must be physically able to tolerate frequent standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching, occasional driving Lifting: Must be physically able to tolerate regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may require occasional heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds or more) Environment: Must be physically able to work inside; tolerate frequent regionwide travel and occasional statewide travel; regular exposure to noise Mental Demands: Must be able to work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours on occasion Regular Attendance is an essential function Major Responsibilities and Duties: Maintains Family Credential TOT and trains new FSA's in family credentials Monitors parent meetings and CD implementation at assigned sites Acts as a member of the comprehensive services team to problem solve potential barriers Coordinates services provided to Head Start/Early Head Start families Coaches staff to enable families to assess their needs, identify their strengths, and develop their goals Coaches staff to enable families to define their family partnership agreement Coaches staff to enable families to access resources to meet their needs Coaches staff to enable families to develop the skills necessary to achieve their goals Promotes parent engagement by facilitating leadership for Policy Council members Promotes parent engagement by facilitating parent training and monitoring activities of the parent Mentors, develops, and empowers staff as assigned in the areas of in ChildPlus data entry, Family Engagement, Family Partnership agreements, Family Assessment tool, Attendance (individual, follow-up, campus analysis, Family Services PIR, Conscious Discipline Parent Curriculum) Serves as knowledgeable resource for ChildPlus entry steps, reports, and Program Information Report (PIR) that support family service information Analyzes ChildPlus reports daily, weekly, and monthly to monitor and support Family Service Assistants (FSAs) Monitors documentation in ChildPlus and the implementation of Family Partnership agreement, Family Assessment tool, Attendance (individual, follow-up, campus analysis, Family Services PIR, Conscious Discipline Parent Curriculum) Monitors and analyzes attendance for assigned sites, Develops success plans with family input when child's attendance is low and/or at risk of missing % of the school year Facilitates the distribution of materials and information for the Head Start/Early Head Start Program such as parent handbook, information on Adult Education & Literacy opportunities, including basic skills, GED, English as a Second Language, and information on college admissions and scholarships Contacts social service agencies to form community partnerships and serves as a liaison Submits Head Start reports required by funding source and/or Region administrative policies to the Director of Direct Services Participates in and/or conducts Head Start/Early Head Start staff meetings, staffings, trainings, and technical assistance and applies learning in work-related situations Collects and analyzes information to find new solutions to challenges as ongoing monitoring and continual improvement in services Maintains a functioning cell phone and is accessible through this phone as deemed appropriate by the Director A functioning cell phone means that it is charged, activated, messages checked, and mailbox emptied regularly Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities Performs duties that directly and/or indirectly impact student performance in Region Maintains a professional level of confidentiality regarding all ESC matters Supports the mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC strategic plan Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC safety program Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies, processes, and procedures Manages time, calendar, and job responsibilities to meet deadlines Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor Incorporates appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor Performs other duties as assigned Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $285.45 to $350.25 IP-3 Job Requirements Citizenship, residency or work visa required Contact Information Amy Duggan , Coordinator of Family Services Amarillo, Cleveland Street Campus Email: View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr Amarillo, Cleveland Street Campus
