About the Role
Early-stage technology company in San Francisco looking for a part-time Office Manager to keep the office running smoothly. A 5-hour-per-week, on-site role with a strong emphasis on ownership and follow-through. You will be the person who makes sure the team has what they need to do their best work.
Perfect for someone who enjoys creating order, takes pride in the details, and likes being the go-to person for making things happen.
What You Will Do
- Restock snacks, drinks, food, and office supplies by ordering and putting items away
- Manage admin for the lunch delivery service
- Keep common areas tidy by handling dishes left out, taking out trash, and maintaining general presentability
- Set up desks and swag for new hires
- Sort and distribute mail as it arrives
- Run the dishwasher and handle dishes as needed
- Plan and execute team events including happy hours, holiday decorations, and two annual off-sites
What This Role Needs
Required
- Available to work 5 hours per week on-site in San Francisco
- Able to start immediately, ideally next Monday
- Comfortable working independently without daily oversight
- Reliable and consistent with follow-through on recurring tasks
- Skilled at prioritizing and managing your own time
- Comfortable with light physical tasks like restocking shelves and tidying spaces
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with vendors and the team
- Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
- Experience managing office operations or facilities in a startup or small company
- Familiarity with event planning and vendor coordination
- Comfortable using basic productivity tools for ordering and scheduling
Bonus
- Living in San Francisco or nearby with easy access to the office
- Experience planning team off-sites or multi-day events
- Background in hospitality, admin, or operations roles
Who You Are
Someone who notices when the coffee is running low before anyone else does. You do not need to be told twice, and you do not need a reminder system to remember that Wednesdays are delivery days. You just handle it.
Someone who takes pride in creating an environment where people feel taken care of. Not precious about doing the small things that matter, whether that is running the dishwasher or coordinating a caterer for an event. You understand that these details add up to something bigger.
Resourceful and calm when things do not go as planned. If a vendor is late or a shipment is wrong, you figure it out without escalating unless truly necessary. You prefer solving problems to talking about them.
Excited about working with an early-stage team where your contributions are visible and appreciated. You like the idea of being the person who makes the office feel like a place people want to be.
