JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR in Elkmont, AL . We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations within our automotive production facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, and a commitment to ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards.

Responsibilities of a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR includes :

• Supervise and manage production staff to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Monitor and optimize workflow, ensuring efficient use of materials, equipment, and labor.
• Maintain a strong focus on quality by ensuring all products meet company and industry standards.
• Develop and enforce production schedules to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational flow.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate production team members to enhance performance and build skills.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics, to support operational goals.
• Track and report key performance metrics, such as productivity, efficiency, and scrap rates.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and reduce costs.

Job Requirements of a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR:

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in production planning and resource allocation.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Familiarity with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations.
• Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement tools.
• Familiarity with automated manufacturing equipment and robotics.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced production environment with frequent exposure to manufacturing equipment and materials.
• May require standing for long periods and working in varying temperatures.
