The Role At Presidio, we seek a highly skilled and experienced Technical Engagement Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at engaging with clients, leading technical teams, and overseeing the successful implementation of various IT solutions. This role involves the successful delivery of professional services engagements and responsibilities as architects, delivery leads, and QA reviewers on engagements, leading multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams. This role is focused on delivering large transformational engagements and growing our footprint with existing large customers. TEMs partner with delivery teams and customer organizations to drive success for both customers and Presidio. Responsibilities Include Lead multiple technical engagements for a small set of named customers across strategy and migrations, IT transformation, and modernization initiatives. Own end-to-end technical delivery responsibilities, including achieving and continuously improving quality and time-to-market metrics. Primary ownership of customer satisfaction for named customer engagements. Manage product requirements, technical considerations, and decisions to deliver the desired customer outcome. Understand the customer’s long- and short-term business goals and align Presidio’s priorities to deliver tactical wins and lay the foundation for longer-term success for both the customer and Presidio. Lead and deliver workshops for IT initiatives. Lead and deliver technology strategy sessions for customers with the ability to engage C-level leaders, architects, business stakeholders, and customer engineering teams. Ensure technology decisions, investments, and capabilities map to business outcomes. Translate business requirements to technical requirements and vice versa. Take primary ownership of engagements in challenging situations when required and coordinate with the customer and internal stakeholders toward success. Understand customers’ organizational culture and align delivery teams and processes toward the fastest path to success. Assimilate quickly into the client team and project culture, becoming a valuable contributor. Prioritize competing demands from stakeholders and resolve conflicts. Build relationships with customer stakeholders across levels and identify potential opportunities. Partner with stakeholders and customers to communicate product vision, strategy, features, prioritization, progress, and needs. Research market and business changes and assess potential impact on current strategy and requirements, sharing findings with the customer. Review technology architecture, perform gap analyses, and define future-state roadmaps aligned with objectives and industry best practices. Translate VMware technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical stakeholders and executives. Collaborate with Presidio VMware Architects to deliver a comprehensive VCF Adoption Roadmap document and/or presentation. Required Skills and Professional Experience Minimum of 10+ years of experience as an architect or technology program lead delivering migration, transformation programs, or modernization projects on-premises and in the Cloud. 5+ years of experience with VMware private cloud solutions (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, VCF, Aria Suite, etc.). Experience in consultative delivery of large-scale business & technology transformation programs, working with senior client leaders. Consulting firm experience. Experience applying proven consulting methodologies to assess current state, design target state, conduct gap analyses, and define a roadmap across people, processes, and technology. Desire to build business capability canvases and map business outcomes to technology capabilities and cloud investments. Desire to build business cases, with a preference for cloud-related cases as part of cloud journeys or digital transformation. Strong experience and passion for designing/implementing at least one domain in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Ability to discuss the virtues of various cloud providers with clients. Excellent client-facing communication, written and oral, with strong listening and relationship-building skills. Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development. Experience mentoring and executing Agile best practices. Experience working with software development teams, onshore and offshore. Demonstrable skills across project development methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, Waterfall). Strong facilitation skills and experience leading workshops. Experience with Cloud / Azure / Microsoft O365 tools. Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership abilities with the capacity to engage and influence partners and stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills. Sharp analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Creative thinker with a vision. Preferred Skills and Professional Experience 6+ years in technology consulting, preferably at one of the Big Four. A genuine passion for delivering quality products that meet customer needs. Strong thought leadership, team building, motivational and customer service skills. Recognized as a technical thought leader in building modern cloud infrastructure. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under pressure. Highly self-motivated and directed, a self-starter. Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and own learning of new tools as applicable to requirements gathering, refinement, and management. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Works as a team player and is willing to perform other tasks to help the team, even if not part of their defined role. Passion, creativity, energy, and enthusiasm for collaborating on growth and development of customers and the company. A desire to learn modern technologies and understand customers’ objectives.
