Compensation Starting at $35.00 per hour, with compensation up to $55.00 per hour for exceptional candidates based on experience, qualifications, demonstrated skills, and the ability to independently manage California Family Law cases. What You'll Do As our Family Law Paralegal, you will work closely with attorneys while independently managing many aspects of litigation from the beginning of a case through trial. Drafting Petitions, Summons, Requests for Order, Responsive Pleadings, Declarations, Judgments, and Stipulations Preparing and responding to Discovery Preparing Preliminary and Final Declarations of Disclosure Preparing Income and Expense Declarations Preparing hearing and trial notebooks Managing deadlines and litigation calendars Electronic filing in California courts Communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and experts Organizing and maintaining case files Assisting attorneys with hearings, settlement conferences, and trial preparation Working independently while collaborating with the legal team Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of California Family Law experience Strong knowledge of California Family Code and Rules of Court Excellent legal writing skills Ability to independently manage Family Law cases Exceptional organizational skills Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Trial preparation experience Dissomaster/Xspouse experience CARET Legal or similar case management software Adobe Acrobat Microsoft Office proficiency Experience preparing complex financial documents What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Performance-based advancement opportunities Health insurance Paid holidays Paid time off 401(k) Supportive team environment Long-term career growth #J-18808-Ljbffr
