Applicants can explore examples of IMT Precision’s work on Instagram at Role Description The Mechanical Inspector is a full-time, on‑site role based in Hayward, CA, responsible for ensuring that machined and fabricated parts meet established specifications and quality standards. Day‑to‑day tasks include performing mechanical inspections using precision measurement tools, reviewing engineering drawings and technical documentation, and verifying dimensional accuracy and tolerances. The role involves documenting inspection results, identifying nonconformances, collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Mechanical Inspector will also help maintain inspection records, comply with ISO and customer requirements, and contribute to a safe, organized work environment. Qualifications Strong skills in Mechanical Inspection and general Inspection of machined and fabricated components. Experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance within a manufacturing or machining environment. Foundational knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles related to tolerances, materials, and fabrication processes. Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs) and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T. Ability to document findings clearly, follow established procedures, and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. Previous experience in ISO‑certified or similar quality‑managed environments is beneficial.
