Hours/Week: Variable, starting with multiple days then potentially reducing to 1 day

Experience: Relevant optometry experience preferred
Hourly Rate: $85.00 (all-inclusive)

What You'll Do
- Provide optometric evaluations and eye care in a correctional facility
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
- Prescribe eyewear and coordinate follow-up care as needed
- Adhere to facility policies and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient visits
- Collaborate with onsite healthcare staff and security personnel
- Ensure compliance with all licensing and credentialing requirements
What You Need
- Valid optometry license (confirm requirements upon application)
- Relevant optometry experience, especially in healthcare settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adhere to strict safety and confidentiality guidelines
About the Assignment This role involves providing essential eye care services at a federal correctional facility. You will work onsite for 8-hour sessions weekly, helping to meet the healthcare needs of detainees in a professional and supportive environment. The assignment offers flexibility as your schedule progresses, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
