Principal Specialist, Material Control Lab FAI (Remote)

What You Will Do:

• Review AS9102 Form 2 to validate that (raw material, parts, and processes) meet metallurgical and chemical technical requirements.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, certifications, procedures, etc.
• Communicate non?compliances and non?conformances with parties within and outside of own team, to provide support by explaining quality requirements, standards, and specifications.
• Document and report non?compliances and non?conformances to suppliers.
• Works autonomously with limited supervision.
• Attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities using CORE tools.
• Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience; or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, certifications, and process documentation.
• Experience with review of FAI.
• Experience communicating technical findings, non?conformances, or quality requirements across cross?functional teams and suppliers.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with Testing and control of raw materials, finished product, and processing ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable government regulations.
• Familiarity with Chemical/Metallurgical Processes, i.e., laser machining, electro?discharge machining, electro?chemical grinding, brazing, coatings, welding, heat treatment, etc.
• Familiarity with shop operations, work instructions and quality documentation.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ASQR?01.
