Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Los Angeles, California

This opportunity seeks a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in outpatient oncology infusion to support a leading healthcare team in the Los Angeles metro area. The role focuses on night shifts with responsibilities geared toward ensuring the safe and accurate preparation and verification of chemotherapy and other intravenous (IV) medications in compliance with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and check IV infusions, including chemotherapy agents, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
• Apply expert knowledge of USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines related to sterile compounding and hazardous drug handling.
• Collaborate with oncology teams to optimize pharmacologic treatment plans.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and order verification.
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with active licensure in California.
• Proven clinical experience in oncology pharmacy, especially chemotherapy compounding and verification.
• Strong understanding of USP 797 and USP 800 standards.
• Experience working in outpatient infusion settings preferred.
• Proficiency in EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts, Monday through Friday (midnight to 9:00 AM).

Location:

• Los Angeles metro area, with deployment to various outpatient oncology infusion sites.

Additional Details:

• Contract position with a minimum duration of 13 weeks.
• Immediate availability highly preferred.
