Your Responsibilities on the Team Lead and oversee all phases of IT infrastructure build-outs for corporate office relocations and expansions, with a focus on low voltage cabling, audio visual systems, access control, and other related technology trades. Proven experience managing project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial accountability across IT and construction scopes. Act as the primary IT representative within the Corporate Real Estate team, ensuring that technology infrastructure aligns with business goals and operational needs. Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to manage construction timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Develop and manage project plans for IT infrastructure deployment, including milestone tracking, procurement schedules, installation, and commissioning. Review and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications to ensure IT system requirements are accurately incorporated and executed. Lead vendor selection and management processes for IT-related construction components, including issuing RFPs, evaluating bids, and overseeing contract execution. Ensure quality control and compliance with corporate standards and industry best practices for structured cabling, AV systems, access control, and related technologies. Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues, providing clear documentation and communication throughout the construction lifecycle. Partner with internal IT, security, facilities, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of systems into existing corporate infrastructure. Maintain accurate records of all IT construction activities, including as-built documentation, punch lists, and change orders. Conduct site walks and inspections to monitor project status, identify potential risks, and resolve issues proactively. Develop and refine processes to improve consistency, efficiency, and repeatability of IT build-outs across multiple office locations. Support budgeting and forecasting activities for IT components of construction projects, ensuring cost-effective and scalable solutions. Serve as a subject matter expert for IT-related aspects of construction projects, providing technical guidance and oversight. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred but not required. PMP (Project Management Professional), LEED, or similar industry‑recognized certification strongly preferred. 7+ years of progressive experience in managing IT infrastructure projects within construction environments. Proven experience overseeing low voltage, audio visual, access control, physical technology infrastructure and related technology trades in construction or facilities projects. Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles from design through closeout, with a focus on integrating IT systems into physical environments. Proficient in project management tools, including Jira, MS Project, and Confluence. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a track record of working cross‑functionally with IT, facilities, security, and construction teams. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects with competing deadlines and limited resources. Comfortable reading and interpreting construction drawings, floorplans, and technical schematics. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make data‑driven decisions in fast‑paced environments. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies, and the ability to apply each as appropriate based on project scope. Knowledge of IT systems lifecycle, network and AV infrastructure design, access control technologies, and vendor management best practices. Experience working in corporate real estate or large enterprise environments is highly desirable. Additional Requirements Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to influence without direct authority in complex, cross‑functional environments. Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and navigate competing priorities, especially in fast‑paced construction and relocation projects. Comfortable managing both high‑level strategy and detailed execution across IT infrastructure and physical construction domains. Proactive and solution‑oriented mindset with a track record of driving resolution on technical and logistical challenges in the field. Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple workstreams, vendors, and timelines simultaneously. Confident communicator able to present technical and project updates clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences, including executives. Strong business acumen and understanding of how IT infrastructure supports broader corporate real estate and workplace strategies. Deep curiosity about emerging workplace technologies and a desire to integrate innovative solutions that enhance the employee experience and operational efficiency. Collaborative mindset with experience building lasting relationships across IT, facilities, construction, security, and vendor teams.
