Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Invoice Processing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable and invoicing processes, as well as a strong understanding of accounting principles. The Invoice Processing Specialist will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process invoices received from vendors and service providers

- Verify accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies

- Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure proper coding and approval

- Prepare and process payments to vendors in a timely manner

- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding issues

- Maintain accurate and organized records of all invoices and payments

- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve any invoice-related inquiries or issues

- Assist with month-end closing processes, including preparing accruals and reconciliations

- Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline invoice processing procedures

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or invoicing

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

- Experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
