An exciting opportunity awaits physical therapists passionate about making a positive impact in educational settings. This full-time, contract role spans from November through February, providing essential coverage during a maternity leave. As an itinerant physical therapist, you’ll support multiple schools in the vibrant Dallas, TX area, delivering therapy to K-12 students who benefit from your expertise and guidance. This is an on-site only position, designed for those who thrive on direct collaboration and hands-on care within varied school environments.
What we’re seeking:
- Hold an active Texas Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Proven experience in school-based physical therapy is highly desirable
- Available to work 37.5 hours per week in person
- Skilled in delivering PT services to diverse student populations, from kindergarten through high school
- Comfortable traveling between multiple campuses in a week
- Must be able to complete fingerprint clearance through TEA if not completed recently for a Texas public school
- References from your two most recent supervisors are required at submission
- Strong communication skills and adaptability within dynamic educational settings
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering individualized and group therapy sessions for students K-12
- Coordinating with educators, families, and support staff to foster student growth
- Managing and adjusting treatment plans for optimal student outcomes
- Documenting progress, maintaining thorough records, and reporting results
- Traveling between assigned schools within the district as an itinerant provider
