Registered Nurse Operating Room

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in liver, kidney, heart, and lung transplantation, with a strong emphasis on surgical assistance during organ transplant procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing organ transplantation, including but not limited to liver, kidney, heart, and lung transplants.
• Utilize advanced surgical equipment, including Misonix/CUSA technology.
• Participate actively in surgical procedures, ensuring the safe and efficient placement of organs into recipients.
• Assist in other surgical cases as needed when there are no ongoing liver/transplant operations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the latest surgical practices and organ transplant methodologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in liver/transplant nursing or Operating Room nursing.
• Proficient in Misonix/CUSA and related surgical technologies.
• Experience in organ placement in the recipient, not limited to harvesting.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS (must provide at time of application).
• NIHSS certification required before the start date.

Shift and Schedule

• Day shift, 4 x 10-hour work schedule (07:00 - 17:30).
• Will require on-call shifts as discussed during the interview process.
• Minimum of 36 hours guaranteed per week, with potential for 40 hours.

Additional Requirements

• The candidate must be nicotine-free; all travelers must pass a negative 10-panel drug test including nicotine.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront, as any changes may not be approved later.
