As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll work onsite within a supportive middle school setting in the Boulder area. Join a multidisciplinary team focused on inclusive instruction, collaboration, and student-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to a classroom of 10 students, supported by peer mentors and two full-time paraeducators.
• Collaborate daily with professionals including a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational and Physical Therapists, and Psychologist or Social Worker.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitor student progress, and adjust strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Cultivate a positive classroom culture, utilizing best practices to encourage social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all interventions comply with school district and state regulations.
• Communicate effectively with families and participate in team meetings to ensure comprehensive support for each student.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum one year of classroom teaching experience, preferably within special education settings.
• Active or in-process Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license is required; interviews will not be conducted without license verification.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with varied needs.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August through late May, following the traditional academic calendar. The role is onsite only, providing the chance to actively engage with students and colleagues in a meaningful way.
