Manager, Technical Program Management, Workspace GenAI Foundations

Overview Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while addressing daily engineering challenges. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects, plan requirements with internal customers, and manage projects through the full lifecycle. You will communicate risks and trade-offs to stakeholders, and collaborate with executives and engineers to drive product development decisions. You will lead a team of TPMs in the Workspace Intelligence and Workspace Search teams and work with cross-functional partners to build an AI agent driven ecosystem for internal and external users. You will also collaborate with teams across Google, including DeepMind and Gemini, to impact the future of AI. Individual pay depends on job-related skills, experience, and education. US compensation ranges from $240,000 to $334,000 (USD) plus bonus targets, equity, and benefits. Location: Sunnyvale, CA; New York, NY; Seattle, WA (your preferred working location from these options). Responsibilities Establish a reliable cadence for portfolio reviews, decision making, prioritization, and resource management, with measurable improvements across the organization. Drive measurable program performance gains linked to execution velocity; establish governance over prioritization aligned with key performance indicators. Lead strategic planning for a complex program portfolio, influencing resourcing decisions, planning cadence, and stakeholders. Manage a team of TPMs (approximately 4) as the TPM manager for Workspace Search and Workspace Intelligence; own program management for a team of ~200 SWEs. Drive mission-critical success for GenAI programs and oversee a portfolio including AI, 1P/2P/3P programs, and infrastructure projects. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in program management. 7 years of experience in leadership roles with or without direct reports. Experience in building AI features or AI platforms. Preferred: 10 years of experience in product, engineering, operations, or related technical field; 10 years of experience managing cross-functional or team projects; experience leading strategic planning frameworks for complex program portfolios with influence over resources and planning; experience in cloud computing or related emerging technologies; ability to manage a team across multiple locations. #J-18808-Ljbffr Google
