Pulmonary Academic Physician

Position Overview West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek a physician for Pulmonary Medicine (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV and/or Uniontown, PA, with potential service at additional West Virginia and Pennsylvania worksites, including travel as needed. Scope of Practice The role focuses on outpatient Pulmonary Medicine, providing excellent patient care and actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The physician will collaborate with a team of Pulmonologists and support staff, supervise the fellows' clinic, and engage in teaching and scholarly activity. For candidates with appropriate experience, medical directorship of the ambulatory clinic may be considered. Responsibilities Practice outpatient Pulmonary Medicine in Morgantown and Uniontown (and additional sites as required). Provide patient care and oversee clinic operations. Teach medical students, residents, and fellows. Supervise fellows' clinic and engage in scholarly activity. Collaborate with advanced practice providers and nursing staff. Qualifications MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) eligible for state medical license. Completed internal medicine residency and pulmonary fellowship. Board certified or eligible in pulmonary diseases. All qualifications met by time of appointment. Immigration support may be available.
