Facilities Technician II

Facilities Technician II
The City of Peoria Facilities Division is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician II to maintain and repair municipal buildings, electrical systems, lighting, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure. This role performs hands-on electrical troubleshooting, NFPA 70B compliant thermographic inspections, minor fabrication, and equipment installation across city facilities.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of directly related facility maintenance or trades experience.
License:
- Valid Arizona Class "D" Driver's License upon hire.
Background Check:
- Ability to pass a Police Department background check.
Required Certifications (Post-Hire Timeline):
- Within 12 Months: EPA Universal Certification, Level 1 Thermography Certification, and OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Card.
- Within 18 Months: Electric League of Arizona Building Operators' Certificate.
Work Schedule:
- Standard Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4/10 schedule).
- On-Call Requirement: Participation in a rotating schedule for after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency response
