apply now Job no: 500934 Work type: Staff - Full-Time Location: Health Science Campus Hospital Toledo, OH Categories: Full-Time, None, Maintenance/Facilities Title: Supply Chain Operations Supervisor Department Org: Distribution Services - 108120 Employee Classification: J1 - Salaried Full Time HSC Bargaining Unit: Professional Staff Association Primary Location: HSC H Shift: 3 Start Time: 10:00pm End Time: 7:00am Float: False Rotate: False On Call: False Travel: False Job Description This position plans, leads, controls, and organizes the staff and activities of healthcare distribution of medical equipment and suppliers, linen services for all shifts under the direction of Sr. Supply Chain Director or the operations of surplus property, mail services, and receiving operations across all campuses under the direction of the Manager-Materials Operations. This position is also responsible for analyzing data across the Supply Chain organization to create improvements in process, methods, and controls. Requires strong knowledge of logistics, inventory and supply chain operations. Must be able to guide and train the workforce to make sure certain daily operations are performed optimally. Must be able to professionally interface and communicate with all levels of the organization. This position serves as an ambassador of UT on behalf of the department and in the community, demonstrating our organizations values, services, and mission. The incumbent must be willing to work with Supply Chain staff members and other supervisors as needed to resolve customer, product or other material management issues that impacts Faculty, Staff, Student experience and patient care. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Must possess working knowledge of MRP systems, inventory control methodologies, metric development and process improvement execution, Lawson knowledge preferred. Must have used Payroll software. Demonstrated capability of successfully managing a diverse workforce. Preferred experience in the health care or higher education industry. APICS certification preferred Must possess excellent oral & written communication. Works well under pressure at times with competing goals and time constraints Maintains a positive attitude in the face of adversity. Must be an "out of box" thinker with strong analytical and organizational skills. Must be able to multi-task. Maintains confidentiality in regards to department's operational issues. Maintains a good attendance record. Keeps up to date with all required tests. Must be able and willing to accept, lead and manage change.
