Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting customers with policy inquiries, coverage changes, and claims-related questions, as well as preparing quotes, processing applications, and maintaining accurate account records. The role involves proactive outreach to new and existing customers, identifying coverage needs, offering appropriate products, and following up on leads to build and retain business. The Account Manager will collaborate with the agency team, support office operations, and ensure a positive customer experience in person, over the phone, and through digital channels.\nQualifications\n\n\n Customer service and client relationship skills, including the ability to listen, identify needs, and provide clear, helpful guidance.\n Sales and consultative skills, such as comfort with outbound calls, presenting solutions, and following up on leads in a professional manner.\n Organizational and administrative skills, including accurate data entry, account documentation, and time management in a fast-paced environment.\n Communication skills, with strong verbal and written abilities for phone, email, and in-person interactions.\n Basic computer proficiency, including use of CRM or agency management systems, email, and office productivity tools.\n Ability to work on-site full-time in Lansing, MI, collaborate with team members, and adapt to changing customer and business needs.\n High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, finance, or related fields is beneficial.\n Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or a customer-facing role is preferred; relevant state insurance licenses (or willingness to obtain) are an advantage.\n
