We do, too – that's why we close at 3 p.m. on Fridays. It's a pretty good gig. This is an in‑person position for our East Lansing office. Responsibilities Project management: Each account manager has a set of client accounts and is responsible for day‑to‑day planning and account management. With the support of the team, the account manager makes sure client projects are completed on time, on budget and in ways that exceed expectations. This includes estimating project costs and managing budgets. Client relationship management: At King Media, we emphasize the importance of relationships. Each account manager is expected to maintain positive relationships with his/her client accounts by initiating regular CRM efforts. Account managers may also be required to assist in the development of new business relationships. Creative and strategic direction: Account managers are expected to contribute actively to the creative and strategic direction of all client accounts. This requires developing in‑depth knowledge of each client and bringing new ideas to team strategy sessions. This may also include coordinating and attending photo/video shoots and production sessions to provide direction and approval. Content development: Account managers are expected to develop high‑quality written content for both clients and the agency, including copywriting for print and digital content, proposal development, contracts and other professional documents. Strong writing skills are essential. Client meetings and presentations: Account managers are expected to play a substantial role in client meetings and presentations. This includes preparing agendas, supporting materials and multimedia presentations; leading discussion topics; and following up on action items. Research: As an agency whose client solutions are strategically grounded, account managers are expected to contribute to client research projects. This may include developing survey questions, preparing focus group/interview materials, analyzing data, and generating comprehensive reports. This may also include internet and third‑part research. Administrative duties: Each member of the King Media team is expected to perform various administrative duties in support of the company’s goals. We all pitch in to keep our office running smoothly. Qualifications Five (5) or more years of related experience, preferably agency experience in account management or leading an internal marketing team Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, communication or a related field Existing knowledge of marketing, advertising and public relations, in both traditional and digital contexts Excellent writing skills, including the demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities and time‑management skills Ability to prioritize, multitask and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment Successful track record of cultivating and maintaining positive customer relationships Ability to assess client needs and requests, then translate them into effective solutions Ability to think both strategically and creatively in a collaborative, team‑based environment A friendly, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal communication skills Ability to collaborate daily with a team of experienced professionals A positive attitude and genuine desire to contribute to the goals of King Media and our clients Preferred Qualifications Experience with Adobe Creative Suite Professional experience with social media and other forms of digital marketing Google tools and other analytic tools Fundamental knowledge of graphic design and how it applies to marketing communications Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Sales and Business Development Industries Advertising Services #J-18808-Ljbffr King Media
