About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Tax to lead tax strategy, planning, compliance, reporting, and audit defense across a complex, multi-entity organization. The role includes overseeing tax provisions and financial statement disclosures, advising on acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and entity optimization, and serving as the primary contact for tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors. The successful candidate will build and develop a high-performing tax team while strengthening processes, systems, controls, and operational efficiency. They will also partner with finance, accounting, legal, and executive leaders to inform strategic decisions and communicate tax matters to senior stakeholders. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation; a master’s degree in taxation, law degree, or advanced law degree is preferred, as is a CPA. At least 10 years of progressive tax leadership experience, including management of a corporate tax function, is required. Deep expertise in corporate taxation, tax planning, and reporting is essential, along with experience in tax provisions, multi-entity structures, mergers and acquisitions, and tax-exempt organizations. Backgrounds in trust, fiduciary, fund, or asset management taxation are also relevant, as are strong executive communication skills.
