Vice President Finance

Our real estate client based in Kitsap Country is seeking a hands-on Vice President of Finance operating in a #1 level capacity reporting to the owner of this mid-sized business. They will manage a small team and be responsible for managerial accounting, auditing, budgeting, tax preparation across multiple tax jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial transactions, including management fees, property acquisition and sale accounting, capital contributions and distributions, property tax payments, loan draws and payments, and internal property manager entity transactions.
• Oversee the monthly property-level financial reporting from third-party property management companies.
• Oversee multiple internal property management companies and partnerships, ensuring that all reporting is GAAP-compliant.
• Manage all treasury functions, including cash flow tracking, monthly excess cash transfers from third-party property managers, and intercompany loans and advances.
• Manage all aspects of the audit and tax processes with outside firms.
• Manage all reporting including financial statement, purchase and sale, customized, investor-facing and tax reporting.

Qualifications

Candidates must have experience with both accrual and cash-basis reporting, audit presentations, and tax prep management. Ideal candidates will have prior Director level experience in a similar organization and an understanding of real estate and partnership financial reporting.
