Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced candidates for a critical role in a hospital setting, specifically within the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in scrubbing cardiac cases and related procedures.

Richmond, VA

Shift Details

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Call Requirements:
- Weekday Call: Starts at 3:00 PM (when assigned)
- Weekend Call: Assigned on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
Current nursing license in New Hampshire or Compact Nursing License
BLS and ACLS certifications are required

Unit Specifics

Unit Name: CVOR - 4th Floor
Number of Beds: Information available upon request
Patient Ratios: Information available upon request
Equipment and Documentation: Information available upon request

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

Scrub in on a variety of cardiac cases including CABG, valve replacement, and aortic dissection repairs
Assist in thoracic surgeries, including da Vinci-assisted lobectomies and ECMO procedures
Maintain a high standard of patient care and safety

Competencies

Proficient in scrubbing cardiac cases requiring bypass and related procedures
Experience with initiating ECMO and performing mediastinal procedures
Ability to work effectively within a team and adhere to unit policies and guidelines

Dress Code

Scrubs will be provided by the hospital.
