Collections Manager @ Top Law Firm

Coda Search is partnering with a top-ranked AM100 law firm headquartered in Midtown Manhattan. Recognized nationally for its excellence and client service, the firm has been experiencing significant growth and continues to expand its high-performing teams. They are seeking a skilled Collections Manager to manage a portfolio of client accounts, 2 direct reports, oversee the AR schedule, engage in proactive client outreach, and work directly with partners to develop strategic action plans. The firm offers a collaborative, team-oriented culture and supports flexible work arrangements with 2 days per week in-office. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the firm’s accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring timely collections. Oversee and manage 2 direct reports Monitor client accounts for past-due balances and initiate appropriate collection activities. Communicate with clients via phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve payment issues. Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements in a professional, solutions-oriented manner. Prepare regular reports on collection status and progress for management review. Provide exceptional client service while adhering to firm policies and maintaining professionalism. Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely invoicing. Qualifications 6+ years of collections experience, ideally within a law firm environment. 2+ years of supervisory experience Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
